What’s your wedding dress doing?------Novel ways to preserve bridal gown

Most of brides think it is very pity of their “big day” gown. A formal wedding dress or informal bridal dress costs on average pounds 800 and takes months to find. You look spectacular in it, but for just one day.
Now, years later, your wedding dress is still hanging forlornly in the back of your wardrobe.
But a new trend for reusing, revamping or selling off the traditional white frock is set to see thousands of wedding dresses coming out of the closet.
Let us look at some wedding gown unique preservation.
The first wedding gown story comes from Jerry Hall.
Last month, Jerry Hall auctioned off the dress that she wore to marry Mick Jagger 18 years ago.
The short, white frock raised pounds 2420 - more than five times its original cost.
Before the charity sale, Hall is reported as saying: "This is a great way of recycling clothes. I hope whoever buys it has more luck than I did."
As well as selling their dress to raise funds for charity, some brides have swapped their frocks on clothing exchange websites, such as www.whatsmineisyours.com
Others have altered the dress to wear to a ball, or cut it down to become a christening gown, and even worn it during sponsored walks or runs.
Another new craze that has arrived in Scotland from the US is called "trash the dress".
Post-wedding, the bride puts on her gown again for a fun photo session.
Trash the dress shoots include wearing the dress while swimming, rolling in mud, climbing trees or lying on a beach.
According to Daisy, one editor, one of the Chinese biggest wedding website, more and more women are looking for novel ways to re-wear their dresses.
She said: "We have had quite a lot of chat on our forum about what to do with the wedding dress after the big day.
"A surprising number of brides love the idea of trashing their dress, while others are keen to wear it for fundraising events.
"To me, it's always seemed such a shame for a beautiful wedding dress to be hidden away after just one wearing.
"We should get the chance to celebrate our frocks more."
Now, what is your new way to use your own lovely wedding gown after wedding? Give us your now ideas, welcome!
