Erguna Mordaga
It is located at Daxing'anling Prefecture, where Genghis Khan made an expedition. It is also one of the largest forest parks in China, where the Chinese movie The Banquet was filmed. During the fall, forests filled with beautiful white birch can be seen here.
Manzhouli City
Architecture fans will enjoy visiting this place where there are many buildings with Russian architectural styles along the Sino-Soviet street in the downtown area. The main building is a tall taowa or Russian doll set, 30 meters high, which has the three faces of Chinese, Russian and Mongolian girls on it.
Shiwei Town
This is a border town in Hulunbeier Grassland. Go across the Argun River located in Shiwei Town to enter Russia. There are beautiful grassland sceneries beside the Augun River in autumn.
Bayanhushuo
Bayanhushuo is where traditional yurts are pitched and visitors can take part in the Dismount Wine ceremony. It was where The People in the Grassland was filmed. There is a tradition that guests put small stones on the yurt in Bayanhushuo and they can make their wishes come true after walking around the yurt three times.
