Sagittarius Forecast July 2014

July will be a spectacular month for you! Two planets, including energetic Mars and your ruler, Jupiter, will change signs this month and bring on exciting changes in your life almost immediately. Indeed, July may go down as your very favorite month of 2014. There is so much to say, so let's start at the top of the month and look closely at each juicy moment.

The month starts off with Mercury going direct on July 1. This has to be good news, especially for your career, as Mercury is the natural ruler of your solar tenth house of fame and honors. Mercury also rules your house of marriage and partnership, so your interactions with your closest partner may benefit too, either in the personal sense, such as with your marriage partner or steady partner, or in regard to business, in terms of a business partner, agent, publicist, or other professional you hire or sign to help you get ahead. Not only is your career about to take on a more productive pace, but with Saturn moving ahead too on July 20, your ability to earn good money will also rise.

In so many ways, 2014 will officially start in July. So far this year, you've had to wait through a series of personal planets that were languishing in lazy retrograde mode. The personal planets are those that spin closest to earth - Mercury, Venus, and Mars - and those are the ones that we feel most dramatically when in lethargic retrograde. Venus rules fun, love, and good looks (as well as profit, to some degree), but when retrograde, the emphasis is on work, not play, and it's a bad time to get beauty treatments or to give parties. Venus was out of phase from December 21, 2013 to January 31, 2014.

Next, the planet of negotiation, communication, and contracts, Mercury went retrograde, February 7 to 28. Judgment is often off when Mercury is out of phase, so it's never wise to make big, important commitments when Mercury is retrograde, nor is it wise to make big purchases, especially for electronics. Then, on the heels of Mercury going direct, Mars, the high-octane planet whose energy we all need to make a success when launching big ventures, was to go retrograde next, March 1 to May 19. This was enough to make you want to throw in the towel. Projects continued to crawl along during those months, but you likely found that almost nothing was clicking into place easily. When you did achieve a victory, it took every ounce of your energy to roll things forward.

There is something you need to know about retrograde planets. When any planet turns direct, it takes that planet a little time to normalize its speed. At first, it moves forward slowly, just like some people I know do - those that need a cup of coffee and a little quiet time to read the paper first. Mars is exactly that way - he was first very groggy, walking into furniture and not in the mood to talk to any of the other little planets until he adjusted to being up again. Mars has been working up to being his old self again since he went direct on May 19, but finally, by July will be in great shape. Mercury is like that too, but he works faster - by July 16 Mercury will be back in ideal shape.

As you see, the first six months of 2014 brought a number of frustrating delays, so if you feel like you have been climbing up an escalator that was set on down and impeding your progress - getting you nowhere - that makes sense. Any progress you did make was done with great determination and a yeoman's effort.

As if this parade of retrograde planets were not enough, you had to get through the monstrous eclipses of April 15 and April 28, causing ripples in your private life, in regard to concern over a friend, lover, or one of your children (or problems in regard to one of these individuals). Eclipses tend to interrupt timetables and agendas, and demand immediate attention to whatever news it brings up, even if not convenient to do so.

After Mercury turns direct on July 1, there will be no more retrograde personal planets. I should qualify that statement by saying that in truth Mercury will go retrograde later in the year, from October 4 to 28. Still, compared to what you experienced so far this year, that will be a little sneeze that you barely notice. October also holds two eclipses, October 8 and 23, so it is not the month to initiate any major ventures anyway, or to make any big announcements.

As you see, this year, the universe was speaking clearly: it was time to look back at past projects and ventures still not finished and to continue to focus on them, all the way to completion, before you were to start anything new. That meant the start of 2014 was to be about finishing up old business left over from last year. As it turned out you would have precisely six months to complete the process. Now, we are in July, so it's time to turn your face toward the future - the next six months (with the exception of October) will allow you to move forward with confidence and with high level productivity.

As you begin July, your financial outlook looks superb. The new moon that appeared at the end of June, in Cancer, 2 degrees, on June 26, was sensational for you. That new moon will still be strong as you enter July. The first two weeks of July will be when to go for the gold. The kind of money that you may see now will be money outside of your usual salary, and that would arrive in one big lump. The type of funding you may receive may be a bonus, commission, royalty, advance, or loan from a bank. You may get news of a generous scholarship or financial aid package from a university, or be approved for an attractive mortgage or refinanced mortgage. You may win a court case or get back child support or a generous divorce settlement. With money luck so strong, you might want to try your luck at a small scratch-off lotto ticket or to buy a charity raffle ticket on July 9 - you might win a small prize. If you need venture capital, draw up your business plan, for you are likely to get the money you need to finance your dream.

Money will again be on your mind at the full moon, July 12 in Capricorn, 20 degrees. This full moon will find you sending out checks, but you may also be given a large check or valuable gift too, within four days of this date. Saturn will be nicely angled to this moon, suggesting you will feel comforted and stabilized by the financial news you receive at this time. The Sun will be conjunct Jupiter, which is considered incredibly lucky, and because the Sun naturally rules your solar ninth house, you may hear that you won a lawsuit or were named in a kind person's will. You may be given a big advance for your novel, be optioned on your screenplay, or be paid well for a big TV project. If you are a musician, you may write the tune that hits the top of the charts. Leo rules entertainment, so all these areas shine and are so very possible for you!

Next we come to the most exciting news of the month, the move of your ruler, benefic Jupiter, the planet of happiness, gifts, and luck, to Leo and your ninth house of international travel. You may be taking the foreign trip of your life this month, and if so, your timing will be perfect. If you have been concerned about an immigration matter involving a green card, visa, or passport, as a few examples, those concerns will melt - you are about to do well in this area. All kinds of legal matters will likely go in your favor, too, so if you have to file a trademark or patent, do so on July 24 or in the last week of the month. If you are in a lawsuit, present a solution to the other side - you are luckier than a Leprechaun now, so you have nothing to lose by doing so and everything to gain.

This same ninth house that is glittering so brightly rules higher education, so if you cannot travel, you may be defending your thesis (VERY successfully!), acing a major qualifying exam, or beginning graduate school. If you are going on college interviews, don't limit the list of colleges that you will apply to because you assume you can't get into your favorite institution. With your aspects, you may be surprised to receive an exciting letter of admission to that hard-to-get-into college. You may apply for a grant and get it, and you might do your grant work overseas.

Jupiter will remain in Leo for nearly thirteen months, until August 11, 2015, so this is a very exciting trend that is just starting up. Until now, Jupiter has been in Cancer, a water sign, but now will be in a fire sign - Leo - just like your Sun sign, fire sign Sagittarius. This means you will be able to absorb the gifts of Jupiter more easily than you did when Jupiter was in Cancer. Water and fire are not naturally compatible, of course. The fact that Jupiter is your ruling planet whose job it is to take good care of you only makes this visit of Jupiter more delicious. You've not had Jupiter to help you in this part of your chart since August 2002 to August 2003, so it's been a long time, and all the breakthrough news you receive will be so gratifying.

Jupiter in ideal angle to your Sun will also help to improve your health over coming months, and soon you'll notice you have a more optimistic outlook. You will feel more motivated to go after big dreams now that things are going your way. With Jupiter at the very top of your solar chart (as the most highly elevated planet, considered significant), Jupiter will be in a position to rinse your entire chart with golden luck and happiness in the coming twelve months. Finding the true love for you may also be part of the coming thirteen months.

To make sure you notice the move of Jupiter to Leo, we have the luckiest day of the year coming up on July 24. This day will bring the meeting of the Sun and Jupiter, an annual event. Each time these heavy-hitters of our solar system meet, they choose a different sign and house to dine. These two brilliant luminaries will bring happiness to all the areas I have been discussing with you - travel, international matters, immigration issues, the media, academia, and the legal system / courts.

Be sure to choose to use July 24 for one initiation that is related to one of these areas. Schedule an interview, submit a proposal, take a key exam, have a performance review, to hand in a manuscript, sign papers, petition an investor for money, settle a law case, or file papers with the court - you get the idea. It's a magical day not to be repeated for twelve years, and you need to use it to your full advantage.

If your birthday falls in November, you will be the first to feel Jupiter move over the degrees of your birthday Sun. Specifically, if your birthday falls on November 24, or within four days of this date, before or after this date, you will have a positively brilliant experience this month with the luckiest day of the year, July 24.

The good luck of July will keep on rolling! Watch for the sensational moon in Leo, 4 degrees, only two days later, on July 26. It will appear in the very same area of your chart that that you and I have been talking about in regard to Jupiter's visit to your ninth house.

A new moon works differently - you will get to show the universe your intent by planting seeds on the area I listed that means the most to you in the ten days that follows that new moon. You will have two weeks in which to act, but I suggest you center your actions on or very close to July 23. Depending on your actions, you will have the power to change your life for the better not only in the short term but also in the coming year. This new moon is THAT important. You are also starting a Jupiter cycle in Leo, and that means your actions can provide new situations that will pay you dividends for your actions for a decade or more.

Again, if your birthday falls within five days of November 26, you will benefit in an outstanding way from this new moon of July 26. The same is true if you have Sagittarius rising, 4 degrees plus or minus five degrees, or a natal planet or moon in Sagittarius, Aries, Leo, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius at the same degree and tolerance of days. Still, having said this, EVERY Sagittarius will have something to celebrate, and every Sagittarius of every birthday will be included in this trend, for Jupiter will travel through all the degrees of your sign.

Romantically, you have sweet days to look forward to as well. Venus will be traveling through your commitment sector from last month, June 23, and will stay until July 18. Mars will be in highly compatible Libra until July 25 too, so you have lots of reasons to socialize - friends will see to it that you do.

One standout day for love, for both attached and single Sagittarius, will be July 13, a Sunday, when Venus and Mars dance across a blue velvet sky shimmering with stars that look like diamonds. That's a red-letter weekend, so I hope you can schedule something highly romantic, and if you don't have someone to love, plan a night out with friends (or a short trip with them) and let nature take its course.

Mars will move into Scorpio on July 25 and remain there until September 13. This will mark a period when you'll crave more privacy and you won't be socializing as much as you will before July 25.

Rest up, because once you get to September 13, Mars, the action planet, will enter Sagittarius for the first time in two years, to stay until October 26. At that time you will be on your skateboard, moving very fast, with not a moment to catch your breath. Recharge while you can, and you will be glad you did. You have very exciting days coming up, dear Sagittarius!

Jupiter, your guiding planet, is now changing signs, a wonderful development, for now this planet of goodness, gifts, and luck will provide you with new opportunities to enjoy life. As a Sagittarius, you love to travel and might even dream of working internationally. If that describes you, you will love the coming thirteen months, starting from July 16, 2014 until August 11, 2015. You will have at least one major opportunity to travel to a foreign country during that period, to an awe-inspiring city or region you've never seen and always hoped to visit.

This same trend - Jupiter's tour of your ninth house when it enters Leo on July 16 - will bring you luck not only with international travel but also in regard to higher education, so whether applying to an institution as an undergraduate or on graduate student, you may be amazed to be invited to attend your dream institution. Of course, add several safety colleges to your list, but also add a few "reach" colleges too. Also, ask for financial aid, or even a scholarship, as you have a good chance of getting an answer that pleases you. The ninth house deals with information, so if you work in publishing or broadcasting, you will also benefit. If you hoped to sell a book or screenplay, Jupiter in Leo will help you, and if you have a book on the market, it may go into multiple translations. Leo rules entertainment, so selling your idea to a network is very favored.

With Jupiter in a fellow fire sign, Leo, you will find your optimism will zoom skyward, and your expectations will rise. Your health and fitness can now improve, and generally you will find that earth is a friendly place for you. The people who enter your life in coming weeks and months will have a powerful part to play in your life, so be the first to cultivate a new relationship by suggesting you both have lunch and follow up with other reasons to meet too.

Everyone's luckiest day of the year will occur this month on July 24, when the Sun and Jupiter will combine forces and bring you extraordinary experience and favor from a VIP. While all signs will love this day, they will for various reasons, depending on their sign. You will benefit more than most, as Jupiter is your ruling planet, and that means that planet is dedicated to taking good care of you. Use July 24 for a meeting or interview on any topic related to your ninth house - travel, international commerce, the media, academia, or the courts system. If you are planning an important overseas trip, consider going on or just after the new moon. July 26. This new moon will open a path of golden energy that will last two weeks.

Before you get to July 16, you will have two-week period of glorious financial possibilities. Over the past year, Jupiter has been in your house of other people's money, and so you may have been the recipient of a hefty commission check, a large rise in income, or a solid court or divorce settlement, as some examples. The door is closing on your outstanding, over-the-top luck in terms of money, so early July may bring you more shots of very good financial news!

If you feel you did not do as well financially as you had hoped, the first two weeks of July will give you a second chance to nail your deal of the year. If you get a bid on property you are trying to sell, take the offer seriously and negotiate until you are satisfied. If you work in sales and would like your boss to adjust your quota, ask for a meeting with your boss during the first half of July, as early as possible. This month, you have a superb possibility to receive a sack of cash that puts a big smile on your face, so trust that the universe will be completely on your side.

Romantically, you will be at your best in the first part of the month. Venus will glide through your committed relationship sector, July 1 to 18, easing and brightening your interaction with your one-and-only. Mars has been in your friendship area for months and will be in gorgeous angle to Venus too, especially over the weekend of July 12-13 - a stellar time to grow closer to the one you love. Attached Sagittarius has the edge this month, but singles can expect to meet someone new while traveling, perhaps directly on the airplane or train abroad.

In so many ways, life is about to take an unexpected upturn, and no one will be more excited to experience all the goodies the universe has prepared than you!
